What to write about

• Corrections. If we got a spec, a number, or a recommendation wrong, we want to know — and we'll fix it and note the fix.
• Questions we should answer. A sizing problem, a storm scenario, a piece of gear you're deciding between. Good reader questions become articles.
• Your storm story. What actually failed, what actually worked, in a real outage at your house. (Tell us if we may quote you.)
• Business inquiries. Note that paid placements do not exist here — recommendations are editorial. See the affiliate disclosure.

We read everything and reply to most messages within a few days. During an actual storm, replies slow down — we're at the shore house too.

StormPrepper is a publication, not an emergency service. If you're in danger, call 911. For official storm information, follow your local National Weather Service office and your county emergency management agency.
